The unethical playing of two boys whose names are anonymous

Two anony moust guys in the band have been practicing today
they were play drums bass and guitar they live somwhere between here and there and aren't younger than me.

2nd birthday in the band

Technichally it is the first birthday but if you count mine which is also the birthday of the band it is the second birthday in the band.
Daniel is turning 15! YAY!
Just because it is the second doesn't mean it is less important (could almost be more important)
Well I just thought it would be good to celebrate one of the best drummers i have ever known (probably the only "good" drummer i have ever known and he is in the best band in the world no less.

A Short History of Us

Here is a short history of our band The Key of H. It will be short because we haven't been a band for very long and therefore there isn't much to tell about but I will tell what there is to tell.

I will start out with My Birthday Party. This was planned to be just a jam session where we rocked out for fun. It was all of that but it was much more. For some reason we all felt that it was the beginning of our "nameless band". We all had a great time and practiced "Out of Breath".
There were no words to that song at the time.

Next in line is the name. Andrew and I, Had been thinking of names for a while and we came up with several. We came out with an ironic name The Key of H.( more about the name on the sidebar). For fun i will tell you some of the names that we all came up with (*whispers* mainly drew and i)

Ransomed (jordan)
Spellcheck(daniel)
Jarred and the hula boys ( this was a close second) lol
I hope you are getting the idea.

Next we had our blog made (yay) This was a really cool thing that helped us feel more like a band. Our lead guitarist =D, wrote 3 songs with words and helped write words to Out of Breath.

We had our first concert. WhoooooHoooooo! We played to around 25-30 people and didnt use words for our song; for lack of words and a mike. Made 2 dollars.!!

Most recently we had a 1 and a 1/2 day practice learning expirience in which we all would agree was beneficial yet not in the way we expected. The recording failed but we all got to practice and grew in our sound as a band but spiritually; we had a disscusion in which we discussed our goals (other things which i cant remember) and had prayer requests for eachother which i think really helped us grow in trust of eachother (not that we dont already trust eachother). We hope that in the days weeks and years to come we live up to our name; to keep our focus on him :the one who is worthy and also to divert the focuses of others to him. We hope that we will ecourage one another and others to follow Him and that not only our music but our lives would bring God glory.
We are hoping to practice soon and maybe during the summer to have another small concert.

We will keep you posted and i will try to make sure that it isn't this long of a space between posts

Of Recording And Pacman

Beginning yesterday afternoon, and stretching well into this afternoon,The Key of H conducted its first actual recording session. It was described by more than one person as a "learning experience". The "learning experience" began this way.

After taking some ridiculous photos and watch what Jordan and I decided are the two worst (one of them was so bad we didn't make it through) movies in the World, and that includes Canada, we began to record....

After trying, trying again, and getting positively stressed out and ready to kill each other for about two hours, we suddenly realized that we had, in addition to our instrumental tracks, been recording noises from the room as well, so, in the interest of quality (even though the noises were so small that only a couple people even thought they could hear them) we trashed the entire thing. Then, after recording again... and deciding that we didn't like how it sounded (at least drew did) the computer crashed, and all was lost. So after about five hours of work, we still now have nothing to post as far as audio....

but, the time was not a complete loss, we managed to play upwards of five hours of pacman (see side) So this is our update. For now.

Brief Bio!

Name: Jarred Cornfield Born: 1991 Electric Guitar/Lead Vocals

Though he’s not the best, Jarred supplies the band’s lead vocals. Jarred enjoys playing guitar and hanging out with the guys from the band and church. Jarred is sort of the designated leader, he is trying to exercise his leadership by helping and growing with the guys in the Lord.

*Loves Sports *1 of 7 kids

Name: Jordan Slack Born: 1992 Electric Guitar/Vocals

Even though he’s the youngest in the band, Jordan is the best guitar player and has been rapidly maturing into a godly young man. Moving to Pennsylvania from Florida, Jordan has really jelled with the band and other friends from church. His favorite band (other than us) is Kutless.

*Oldest child in family

Name: Andrew Wilber Born: 1989 Bass/Vocals

Drew is the oldest of the band and the most mature. His musical knowledge and encouragement contribute greatly to our young band. Andrew lives in Pennsylvania about 20 minutes from the boarder. Andrew’s leadership and bass skills help us out to the highest of degree.

*Came up with band name *Very tall

Name: Daniel Efthimiou Born: 1992 Drums

We couldn’t have a band with out Daniel. He blows us away with his drumming skills. Though the second youngest in the band, Daniel also has been maturing in a godly young man. His willingness to serve and have fun is very encouraging and helpful to everybody.

*1 of 9 kids *Yankees and Patriots fan

Name: Ben Polczynski Born: 1991

Electric Guitar/Vocals/Piano

One word ‘unique’. Ben is our ‘go to’ guy, serving us where ever he’s needed. He picked up piano just to help the band out. His humor and encouragement add so much to our group. Ben is studying and trying to get into the air force when he gets a little older.
*Owns two cows! *Very Classy

New Band Name

After receiving negative feed back regarding our last name, and after much, painful, drawn-0ut and at times violent deliberation, we have decided to change our band name. From now on and henceforth, we shall be officially be known as: Jarred and the Hula Boys. Our first recording, Dueling Ukuleles.

It was a hard decision, but after talking it over, we have decided that there was no other course of action possible. We have also decided that from now on, our official dress for concerts will be Hawaiian shirts and straw hats.

More updates later.

Recording coming soon.

P.S. We wonder how often it is that Palm Sunday happens on April first ; )
